WVU Parkersburg students and local advocate group to sponsor Mental Health Awareness Walk
A walk to raise awareness regarding mental illness will be held Saturday (Nov. 1) at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
Registration for the Mental Health Awareness Walk will take place at 9 a.m. at the campus health and wellness walking trail with the walk beginning at 10 a.m. Light refreshments and live music featuring Dr. Gary Norum, local psychologist, will take place in the campus amphitheatre following the walk.
The day’s activities are being sponsored by Psi Beta Psychology Honorary Society, the campus Psychology Club, Student Government Association and NAMI Mid-Ohio Valley Affiliate Group.
