Live Professional Wrestling.



The Student Government Association at West Virginia University at Parkersburg is hosting a fund raising event on Saturday March 14....Mental Mayhem, or for those of you less informed - Big TIME Wrasslin'. Tickets are available in the WVUP Business Office, online at AWAMWA.COM and at the door. Student ticket price is $8.00, general admission is $10.00, all children under the age of 5 are free. A snack bar with hot dogs, nacho's, popcorn and soft drinks will be open.

Doors open at 6pm, bell time 7pm. Proceeds to benefit the WVUP SGA's Relay for Life, MS Walk and Make-A-Wish foundation teams.

Come out and see what all the shouting is about!

"Neuman's Theory: Then and Now"

WVU at Parkersburg is honored to host Dr. Betty Neuman, nursing theorist, for a lecture, "Neuman's Theory: Then and Now," at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in the theatre.

The goal of Neuman's Theory is to provide a wholistic overview of the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and developmental aspects of human beings. Faculty and students in the areas of health sciences and psychology will find this lecture particularly interesting. Neuman is an RN who received a BS in Nursing and a Masters in Mental Health, Public Health Consultation from UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacific Western University. She developed the Neuman Systems Model in 1970 at the University of California, Los Angeles.

This distinguished lecture is being co-sponsored by WVU at Parkersburg and the Counseling and Wellness Center, PLLC, in observance of Women's History Month.

It's Lazer Bowling Time Again.


The Christmas Lazer Bowling Party was so successful that we are having another one.....well not a Christmas bowling party but rather a Middle-O-Winter Lazer Bowling Party. Come out and join the fun Wednesday March 4 from 9pm - Midnight. There will be fun, food, friends and prizes. Cost is all of $2.00 per person, this includes your shoe rental, bowling and includes a pizza and a pitcher of pop per lane. Limited space so sign up today. Vote for Your Favorite Mascot

Voting is currently underway for a new WVU Parkersburg Mascot. This mascot will become the unofficial "official" emblem for our Club Sports teams. The colors for the teams will remain the same - Old Gold and Blue. Please go to the Forum and vote for your favorite.
