Lazer Bowling Christmas Party


Finish off a great day and a great semester with SEA's final event of the year, the popular Lazer Bowling Christmas party. This years event will be held on Chillin' Day, Wednesday, December 9 from 9:00 pm - Midnight at Emerson Bowling Lanes. Cost for the event is; $2.00 per student (limit 2 per student) and $5.00 for non-students. Cost includes; lane fees, shoe rental, Christmas snacks plus a pizza and a pitcher of soda per lane.


NOTICE - you must pay in advance (Emerson Lanes needs to know # of lanes we will need).

Chillin' Day.


Back by popular demand is Chillin' Day - alias Relaxation Day. Wednesday, December 9 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm the WVU Parkersburg SEA in cooperation with the Health & Wellness Office is proud to present the ever popular Oxygen Bar, Massage Chairs, Vibrating Tables and actual chair massages (by trained professionals). Come on down to the cafeteria area and 'take-a-load off', chill out and get ready for finals week. See you there!

Charity Concert


The WVU Parkersburg Student Government Association is sponsoring a concert with Trans Appalachian Orchestra (a group of WVUP students who happen to be a very good cover band of the original Trans Siberian Orchestra). The concert will be held on Friday, December 4 at 7:30 pm in the college's Activity Center (aka - the multi-purpose room.) Cost for the concert is 2 cans of food. Plan to come out for an entertaining and cheap evening of fun while we continue our food drive efforts. For more info please contact the Student Activities office.

Cornhole Tournament

The WVU Parkersburg Intramural Association in cooperation with a SDEV class is sponsoring a Cornhole Tourney to raise canned food supplies for local food pantries for the upcoming holidays.
The tournament is scheduled for Thursday, December 3 beginning at 1:00 pm in the multi-purpose room. Cost for the event is $2.00 + 1 can of food. (All proceeds will be used to purchase more food.) 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament


The new WVU Parkersburg Basketball Club is sponsoring a 3 on 3 Tournament to raise funds for their upcoming season. The tournament will be held on Tuesday, December 1 beginning at 1:00 pm. Cost is $10.00 per team and the winning team will receive $50.00 as first prize. Theatre Dept. presents......


The WVU Parkersburg Theatre Department is presenting Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's classis satire "Tartuffe". This event will occur over a three day period with the first showing Friday, November 27 at 8:00 pm, followed by a presentation on Saturday, November 28 at 8:00 pm and the wrap up on Sunday, November 29 at 2:00 pm. All of these shows will occur in the College Theatre and the best part is they are all FREE.

TAILGATE Party-time.




It's time for another tailgate party - this time when WVU travels to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. That's this Friday at 7:30 pm, game begins at 8:00pm in the Student Lounge area. Food and refreshments will be provided. Viewing the game is free, cost for the food and drinks - 2 canned food items. (These will be used in support of the SGA food drive.) Let's gooooo Mountaineers!

SEA looking for members.


The WVU Parkersburg SEA - Student Engagement & Activities is currently looking for a few good students. If you would like to work long hours, with no pay and very little gratitude, wear cool t-shirts and have the time of your life then SEA is for you. We will be choosing the events/activities for the Spring 2010 semester as well as the beginning planning for Fall 2010 as well.
